Two of the nation’s premier boaters, Bob Foote and Karen Knight, are selling some of their boats. After years of traveling throughout North America, teaching classes in canoeing and kayaking and guiding trips, Bob and Karen are no longer on the road 24/7. They now have a home in Maryland. For the first time all of their canoes and kayaks are together and needless to say they realize they have more boats than time to paddle them all. While still teaching and guiding paddling, they are looking to downsize.

During Interpretive Freestyle Canoe and Kayak demonstrations performers may decide not to wear their PFD. In those instances extra safety measures are taken. Otherwise Karen and Bob wear their lifejackets whenever they are on the water and encourage others to do the same.

Bell Bucktail
1. Bell Bucktail (solo)
The Bucktail, an Adirondack-inspired design, is a 12’ solo canoe that’s ideal for exploring ponds, and moderate rivers. Its stability and maneuverability allows it access into constrictive water passages. Lightweight and easy to transport, the Bucktail can be paddled in a variety of different ways:  Like a kayak with seating on the floor and legs extended out in front or like a canoe from a kneeling position using a thwart for support. Single blade or double blade…you choose. This custom-made boat comes with a kneeling thwart. Bell does offer a comfy high back kayak seat that can be used in the Bucktail.
